And the Government Shall be Upon His Shoulders

With the election and inauguration of a new presidential administration, Americans everywhere are asking the question, “What does the future hold?” Which direction will this new administration take America? To this end, I enjoyed my recent interview on the Jan Markell radio program, Olive Tree Ministries, to discuss these important issues. The session is entitled, And the Government Shall Be On His Shoulders. The first half of the hour-long broadcast is with White House correspondent Bill Koenig where he sounds a note of optimism concerning positive developments that he sees now taking place in the new Trump Administration. The second half of the broadcast is Jan’s interview with me as we discuss God’s ultimate plan for the future. Here, we focus on the subject of the future millennial kingdom and what the Bible has to say about this important matter. We hope that these conversations will encourage you in these troubled times. You can both listen to and/or download the entire radio broadcast (which ran nation-wide on Saturday Jan. 28) at the below link. God bless you.

Preparing for a Middle East Meltdown

I had the opportunity to reappear Friday morning on the radio show “Stand Up for the Truth” (Q90 FM 90.1) to discuss my new book entitled “The Middle East Meltdown” published by Dispensational, Publishing House…

The Bible and Voting

Can you slow down the progress of evil? I believe we can do that, simply by being the salt and light that God called us to be, and being good stewards over the many things He’s given us to be stewards over. One of the things that the Christian evangelical church has not been a good steward over is the ballot box. The statistics on this are really depressing.

America Under A Strong Delusion

I had originally intended to write a series of posts explaining why Republican voters should select Ted Cruz in the upcoming primaries and reject Donald Trump. My working title for the series was going to be “Why We Must Choose Cruz and Dump Trump.” However, after a conversation with my wife the other evening, I […]

The Call to Discernment: Seeing Through Bible Spouting Politicians

Friday evening, the following Facebook post appeared from Greg Laurie, the high profile evangelist with Harvest Crusades and the Pastor of the mega-church Harvest Christian Fellowship located in Riverside, CA: This statement was made last night in the Republican debate by my friend, Senator Marco Rubio. Now, before you tell me why you like or […]

Why Believe in Christ’s Virgin Birth?

Now that we are well into the Christmas season, I would like to take a momentary break from the cultural and political wars that are currently consuming our nation to instead reflect upon the ultimate political ruler who made His way into our world a little over two millennia ago. I call Him the ultimate […]

The Syrian Refugee Crisis and the Biblical Morality of Border Enforcement (Part 2)

Our Highly Charged Political Environment Americans are talking about immigration! The recent terrorist attack in Paris is largely believed to have been instigated by at least some unvetted Syrian War refugees that had crossed the national border.1 Similarly, “Two federal agents operating under the umbrella of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are claiming that […]

The Right to Keep and Bear Arms: Your Constitutional and Biblical Right! (Part 3)

More Gun Control? Unfortunately, recent random shooting murders in America have caused government imposed gun control to once again be publicly touted as the best solution to our society’s gun violence. For example: President Barack Obama is thinking about implementing a new gun control measure by executive order and without the support of Congress. The […]

The New Intolerance (Part 2)

Leftist Intolerance Ever since I can remember, the political left in general and the gay rights movement in particular have always cloaked themselves in arguments and language calling for greater diversity, tolerance, and pluralism in American society. My, how times are changing! Now as the left is inching ever closer to winning the culture war, […]

A Pastoral Benediction on the 42nd Anniversary of Roe vs. Wade Given at Sugar Land Bible Church

Sunday, January 18, 2015 Sanctity of Life Sunday is a special Sunday instituted by Ronald Reagan in 1984. It typically takes place on the third Sunday in January, before January 22nd. On January 22nd 1973 something happened in America that was tragic. This was the date of the infamous Roe vs. Wade decision. In a […]
