My Advice to Donald Trump

Personally, I have never really liked Donald Trump. However, while I’m not a big Donald Trump fan, to say the least, the painful truth of the matter is that he is virtually the only thing standing between us and perhaps an even worse Hillary Clinton presidency. As much as I wish this were not so, it […]

The Crucifixion of Ted Cruz & the New Republican Political Correctness

What would most likely get me the most accolades from my conservative friends is to write a blog piece criticizing this week’s Democratic National Convention. After all, we are routinely told by pseudo-conservatives that we all need to rally behind the Republican Nominee, unify the party, and defeat Hillary Clinton in November. She is the personification of all evil, as the new Dinesh D’Souza movie Hillary’s America appropriately and accurately argues. However, the Democrats and their predictably outrageous behavior this week is not the real story here. The Democrats kicked conservatism (and authentic Christianity for that matter) out of their party a long time ago. Criticizing the Democratic Party is too easy of a target. Finding a conservative Democrat today, such as the late Robert Casey or Zel Miller, is like trying to find an animal on the endangered species list. However, the real story here, for anybody who actually desires to see the evidence, is how the Republican Party, at least at the national level, is now also going very clearly in the direction of the Democratic Party in terms of purging and ostracizing conservatism from its ranks. In order to validate the statement, one need look no further than how the Republican Party treated Ted Cruz at last week’s Republican National Convention. When all the facts are considered, the Republican Party establishment last week engaged in nothing less than a true smear job against Ted Cruz.

My Vote for Trump: Earned Rather than Automatic (Part 2 of 2)

In last week’s post, I explained why Donald Trump is virtually no different than Hillary Clinton on virtually every issue. The Republican Party has, this time around, finally reached the bottom of the barrel and is now on the precipice of nominating someone that is virtually indistinguishable from the Democratic front runner.

My Vote for Trump: Earned Rather than Automatic (Part 1 of 2)

If you were (or are) a Ted Cruz supporter, by now you have no doubt been given “the lecture.” It is the same lecture we conservatives consistently receive every four years around this time. The lecture, usually delivered by a sanctimonious and self-appointed fellow “conservative” Republican goes something like this: “Gee, I am really sorry […]

Four Dumb Reasons for Not Voting for Ted Cruz (Part 3)

Ted Cruz Is Not a Natural Born Citizen? The Republican Party now has the first opportunity it has had since Ronald Reagan of nominating a true conservative as its Presidential candidate. Should Senator Ted Cruz win the Republican nomination, Americans, in the general election, will have an actual choice between a limited government, constitutional conservative in Ted Cruz and a pro-big government liberal in Hillary Clinton, the presumptive Democratic party nominee.

America Under A Strong Delusion

I had originally intended to write a series of posts explaining why Republican voters should select Ted Cruz in the upcoming primaries and reject Donald Trump. My working title for the series was going to be “Why We Must Choose Cruz and Dump Trump.” However, after a conversation with my wife the other evening, I […]

The Upcoming Republican Primary & Roe’s 43rd Anniversary

It has been 43 years since the infamous Roe v. Wade decision was handed down. This decision has been rightly criticized as bad Constitutional law. In it, our Supreme Court “discovered” a Constitutional right for a woman to procure an abortion. Prior to 1973, no United States court had ever seen such a right. In […]

Ben Carson is Right: A Muslim Should Never Be the POTUS (Part 3)

Recently, Republican Presidential hopeful Dr. Ben Carson has come under severe attack due to a question posed to him from the press. In his response, Carson articulated his personal reticence that he would ever vote in favor of a Muslim to occupy the Oval Office. Responding to a question on “Meet the Press,” the retired […]
